Party Time Tuesdays #65–Anything Goes + Kraft!

Happy Tuesday people! SO excited to welcome you to my first post as a member of the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge Design Team!

This week we need you to bring "Anything" you want to bring to the party as long as it includes KRAFT!  So our challenge is ANYTHING GOES + KRAFT colored paper.

This month we were lucky to have Bugaboo sponsor for the entire month of April.

You can read about all three of our sponsors HERE.

Thank you to all three wonderful companies who sponsored our Anything Goes + Kraft paper.  The Kraft Outlet sent the most wonderful paper and goodies for the DT to work with.  Bugaboo and Crafty sentiments provided the images for the DT.  Thank YOU!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was very excited to become part of this challenge team! Please hop on over to the PTT blog and check it out.  It is a big day with the new DT additions (including my good friend Michelle VP!) and a fair few guest DT members from Feline Playful and Bugaboo!

Also, please take a few minutes to read the tribute to my former Paper Makeup Stamps’ DMC teammate.  She is going through a very tough time in her life and I wish her all the best.  I hope she likes her tribute!

Alright, without further intro (could there BE anymore ado!?) here is my card:

I love this little dude so much in his “awe” natur-al (hehe) form I just couldn’t color him.  He speaks for himself – especially with that popped up head (I wish it bobbled, but I don’t have one of those bobble spring things so…maybe he can bobble next time : )

Vintage/Steampunk Love-Themed Card.

Hello everyone!! I finally got a new power adapter for my computer and I am SO happy.  I had so much to catch up on!

I have been working away on some Hampton Art projects and now I can actually edit my photos and send them in so you can start SEEING some of them!

In the mean time, I wanted to post a card I actually made for the GCD Studios DT call.  This is what some people call a “reject” post, but you know, I like to call it a “not what they were looking for, but I’m still awesome” post. : )

Here we are:
GCDcard1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My favorite element on this card is the distressed measuring tape.  The GCD pad that I used had lots of borders and this was one of them (I created the realistic metal tab at the end with a Fastenator staple).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stamp: (sentiment) Cloud9 Design | DSP: Antiquities by GCD Studios | Tools: Fastenator, (floral swirl die) Die’namics | Flowers: Prima Marketing | Ink: (tuxedo black) Memento | Adhesive: (dimensional) The Paper Studio, Scotch ATG | Other: Stick Pins

Farewell SP & Company!

Hello and welcome to my blog today! It’s Sunday and it happens to be Easter!  But, as stoked as I am to see that big white rabbit come knocking, it is with a little sadness that I bring you my last project as a design team member for SP & Company stamps.

Samantha (Miss SP herself) has decided to focus on the stamps and not on sponsoring a weekly stamping challenge.  Therefore, as a challenge team member, I must say my goodbyes. : )

Here is one last Sunday Inspiration from me:

I used The Candy Hearts and Hug a Bug to create the layers in the wings and some twine from the SP & Company store to make the bodies!

WishingYouBst

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SP &Co Stamps: Candy Hearts, Hug a Bug, and Bold Sentiments I | Distress Ink by Ranger | Twine: Brown Sugar | Seam Binding | Stamping Ink: Memento | Die: Spellbinders Grand Templates 1 | Other stamps: Rubber Stampede (sunflower) and the leaves are unknown

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks so much for stopping by!  And, to my fellow DT @ SP & Company, thank you so much – you have helped me and taught me so much.  As my card says – I’m ‘Wishing you the best’!

So long SP & Company – and remember, it is GOOD to be queen. : )

*Looks Around*

I thought we needed a little change. It took me a long time to come to the decision that I needed a fresh "face" on this old girl (And the confidence to know that I couldn't mess it up!!)

With all the exciting THINGS happening around here...I think it was JUST what we both needed. :)

But, rest assured, you are still in the right place.

I'm still keeping it fresh.

I'm still keeping it real.

And I'm now, and FOREVER, keeping it royal.

(Ever wonder why I say that all the time? It has to do with my mission statement. Go read it here.)

I’m in SUCH good company too! You NEED to see all the wonderful crafters on that list! Go! Click! (After you finish reading, of course!)

I can’t wait to get started sharing my HA creations with all of you and with all those artist and crafters I’ve yet to meet! So - I decided not to wait.

Let me explain.

I am, and have been, a long-time fan and user of Hampton Arts crafty goodness. So, when I heard about the call for designers, I had SUCH a hard time choosing what products to use for my submission! I ended up making several more projects than were required. I want to share with you today, a couple of cards that didn’t make MY final cut - for one reason or another. (And tell you a little bit about each one. : )

HA_MissingYou1

I LOVE this feather stamp! (It coordinates with Curtain Call by Graphic 45, but I love that it can be used for such a clean design too!)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HA_MotherCard

I really like to use a stamp or supply that is meant for one thing and see how it works for something else. On this card, for example, the little swirly border at the bottom is actually a small (Studio G) journaling stamp that I just stamped over and over to create that border. I am excited to use it to make a background paper now, because I really like how it came out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HA_JustForU

You don’t know HOW torn I was between this card and the card I sent with my application! I just LOVE how this one came out. But, in the end, I loved the other one JUST a little more. (I felt like I was trying to pick my favorite CHILD! lol).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Get excited! I think you are going to have so much inspiration from this team – it will be coming out of your ears!! Thanks for stopping by!

Keep it royal people, because today, it REALLY IS good to be queen!

PMS Digital Makeover Challenge #30–Tic Tac Toe

Happy Monday! It is time again for another Digital Makeover Challenge at Paper Makeup Stamps!

The rules are simple: Use a digi and stay within the challenge theme. There will be one random winner who will receive 3 single digis of their choice from PMS (or 5! if you use a PMS image in your winning entry).

The Challenge:

Originally I wanted to pick lace, flower, silhouette – but as I was making my card I realized I didn’t really have any lace to match.  So, I switched gears, added some glitter brads to my flowers and did Fairy, Sparkle, Flowers.  I like the contrast of this.

bandwsil

I also really like the way it sort of looks like a chalkboard.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stamps: Sprout Silhouette (Paper Makeup Stamps), Sentiment (Hampton Art) | Cardbase: Black (DCWV) | Ink: White (Hampton Art) | Punches: Butterfly (Martha Stewart), Flower (EK Success) | Brads: Black Glitter (The Paper Studio)
