DCWV - Spooky Time Stack Mini Album!!

Hello people!! Just a quick one today to show off my cute DCWV Halloween mini album!

I used three new stacks to construct my book: The Spooky Time Stack (12x12) and the Corrugated Naturals and Corrugated Brights stacks.

First, I chose the patterned papers and the colors of the corrugated 6x6's I wanted to use.  I decided that 6x6 already a great size for the book, so I cut down the papers to the same size as the corrugated sheets and glued them together -one patter on the back of each corrugated sheet.

I used the cut-away embellishments and borders as well as some left over Halloween embellishments from last year's DCWV release  to decorate my pages.  I added some stamped images and a few punches to flesh everything out.

Lastly, I bound the book using rings and tied some ribbon to finish.  I didn't add photos because I plan on using this book for our 2013 Halloween pictures!

Do you every craft for holidays or special events in advance?  Let me know in you comments!

Thanks for stopping by!

Later queenies!

DCWV - Glam Rock Stack (Hanson Layout!!)

Hello cropstars!!  I have been just CRAZY with these DCWV stacks lately!  I have another layout for you today - featuring one of my longest, and dearest LOVES!

I bet you didn't know that I am a SUPER, HUGE, MEGA fan of  Hanson.

Yes - that Hanson.

Their music has been the soundtrack of my life.  Twelve is a pretty young age to find a band that will still be making music that's relevant over a decade later (and changing live through activism, running a record company, and touting relationships with celebrities like Carol King, Jonny Lang, Taylor Swift, Jason Mraz, Kevin Bacon, and Kat Dennings to only name a few).

Well, this band, who I love and respect as musicians (who influence me to be who I am and follow my passion - no matter who makes fun of me or doesn't understand) they came to my city this summer and headlined an event called "Uncorked" - FOR FREE.  Hundreds of people turned out for it and a 40 minute show turned into an hour and a half - with an encore!

In short - they rocked.  Want to see how they rock now?  Of course you do.

(Video montage by Gina P)

Okay, you made it through two videos and all of my ranting - I suppose you deserve some ACTUAL papercrafting inspiration now,

I used the new DCWV Glam Rock Stack, take a look:

And here's my layout:

-------------------------------------------------

Supplies: DCWV (The Glam Rock Stack); Martha Stewart & Queen & Co. (Washi Tape); Star Punch; American Crafts (Thickers); Cosmo Cricket (Tiny Type); Ki Memories (Brads)

Do you have some pictures of your favorite musician or band that you could scrap with this stack?  Who is it?

Thanks for stopping by!  Later queenies!

DCWV - Citrus Stack + Adhesive Fabric Stack

Happy Sunday!  I'm so glad you decided to stop by and see me today.  I'm sharing a card I made using two new DCWV stacks: Citrus Twist (2) + 6x6 Adhesive Fabric Stack!

Take a look:

I used a stencil from Studio Calico to create the background on a piece of the adhesive fabric.  The sentiment, butterfly, and circle are all from the Citrus Stack.  The Metallic elements are from one of the metallic 6x6 pads from DCWV as well.

The cardbase is also by DCWV, from their dots and stripes card box.
