Hampton Art–Distressed Holiday Photo Frame!

Hello! I’m so excited to share today’s Hampton Art project with you! It was something I really loved when it was all done. I hope you like it too!!



I constructed this out of a big chipboard frame, a piece of Canvas Corp cork paper and a premade, raw photo frame that I got a Michaels.

I distressed it with Clearsnap chalk ink and added two stamped tags to the center:  Do Not Open Banner PS0511A, Santa Postage PS0486A

The Inspiration:

I used a snowflake punch and made a mask to used with my blue Viva Décor embossing crème – it worked SO awesome!

I colored my Digi Garden snowman with Copic Markers and added the “hello” and the bird from a stamp set by Hampton Art.

I finished with some beautiful peach ribbon from “Created by Martha”.

Here is my inspiration project for this week:

I used some Viva Décor Embossing Crème and a small star punch to make my background.  I used the negative of the punched stars to create a mask for my embossing crème. Then I heat set the embossing creme .

I used twine from Created by Martha with my Sew Easy to create the border.  And I punched the conversation bubble with a Fiskars’ punch.

I think it turned out so cute with my image from The Paper Shelter!

I went a LITTLE crazy with the glitter glue on this one.  My aunt Pearl used to say, “when you want to do 5 more things (to a project) you should stop.” 

Aunt Pearl, was often right about these things.  This time proves no different.

But, I think you have to make things you aren’t really happy with sometimes.  It shakes up your mojo.  And, I still think this would put a smile on someone’s face to receive it near the holidays. : )

Christmas In July–Comfort and Joy!

Good morning everyone! I hope the Americans had an awesome 4th of July!!! I went to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and it ROCKED!! I want to see it again already!

 

 

Yesterday I shared my first (of three) projects featuring some Hampton Art Christmas stamps.  Today I am sharing my second project, a winter-themed card that is not so Christmas-specific.

I used a Hampton Art “Comfort and Joy” sentiment stamp and white glitter embossing powder, Clearsnap watermark pad and DCWV’s ‘The Glitter Stack’ (8x8) and “The Winter Magic Stack” (12x12")
