Digital Stamp: What is Time?

Woohoo! Hello cropstars! I have created my first digi stamp. Cool right? Well, we will see how this goes.

I’m using 4shared.com to share the file and I have never done this before, so hopefully it works out alright. If you use this let me see what you create!

Okay, time to give a little love to a fellow crafter. Melissa Ward , a fellow crafter and new-ish blogger has had some bad news from her doctor. Go comment on some of her stuff and give her some e-love, ok? The link to her name goes to her blog, Cricut Crazy. :)

And here is my digi stamp :

Card: Cherry Blossom

UPDATE: I WON!!! I am super excited and cannot WAIT to receive these! This sweet! This just goes to show that you can't win if you don't play and I got that entry in at just the LAST minute.

So, there are still some great giveaways going on (all on my sidebars) and YOU just might win so go enter! Thanks iCopic Love!

Hello! Just posting a card for a challenge to win some Copic Markers! I am definitely getting it in at the last second, but I had to CLEAN the scraproom before I got going (what a mess!).

Here is the challenge: iCopic Love

So, the challenge was a card using the colors Ivory, Gold, and Chocolate Brown.

Here is my submission:

cherryblossom

The picture DOES leave a bit to be desired but my dad has the good camera in Texas while he’s visiting family, so this is the best I could do. :)

Hope you like it! I plan on posting a page using my sketch so look for that!

P.S. There is another chance to win a Copic skin tone set or the Spica Glitter Set B Here at Sally's Creative Corner!

And remember…it’s good to be queen!

Sketch!!!

Hello!  I’m so excited that people are commenting on my posts!  Encouragement is as good as candy…well ALMOST.  So, I have to confess that I am a NOTORIOUS scraplifter of the highest degree.  I am trying to break myself of this, but have you SEEN some of the stuff going on in layout design lately?!?

(If you must scraplift, and let us be honest, I MUST, I am loving all the free ideas from Craft Gossip in their “Inspiration du Jour” posts.  The one in the link is called “Balance” – I love.)

ANYway, I decided to challenge myself to do some design sketches!  Yeay!  Okay, so this is my FIRST sketch and I want to know what you think.  Also, if you use this sketch PLEASE host it on ImageShack or on a blog and paste the link in a comment.  I want to see your beautiful creations!

Ta-da!:

Sketch1

<Those are 4x6 photos and the big square is an 8x8 square.>

It is pretty straight forward, but I didn’t want to go all crazy and create a bad sketch.  I’m going to try and do a page with this sketch and post it sometime tomorrow or Friday. Hope you like it and use it with abandon!

And remember…. it is so GOOD to be Queen. ;)

Unfortunately I didn't win a Silhouette cutter. :(

BUT, if you would like an opportunity to win a Cosmo Cricket Crafting kit, a few handfuls of Prima loose flowers, or a kit to make a cute home decor bouquet, then go here.

All she's asking is a link back to her blog and a comment on each post!

Aren't they cute? Maybe this time one of us will get lucky!

*Crosses Fingers*

So, I'm trying to win a Silhouette cutter b/c...well, wouldn't YOU want to win one? Anyway, there are two great giveaways going on right now. One is at CraftGossip.com and the other is The Idea Room (both of which I'm SO glad I found, regardless of the giveaways!). Both contests are giving an extra entry to people who do some extra stuff - such as making a blog post and linking back to them!

So, here are the links to the two giveaways:

Tutorial: Darling Dress Embellishment (Yeay!)

Helloooo!  Hope everyone is having a great day.  We have a new tutorial for today to make a “Darling Dress” embellishment.  The inspiration for this came from a set of cut-able files shaped like fancy underwear made by KLDezign her cut files for MTC/SCAL/2 are sooo awesome.  Go visit her and comment on some of her awesome stuff! (AFTER you read this awesome tutorial!) So, the original card that I made looks like this:

 dresscard

I used it on a wedding card, but I wanted to show a little versatility, so the tutorial pictures are for a party dress!

Technique: Loverly Layered Image (card)

Hello cropstars!  This technique is pretty sweet if I do say so myself.  I actually got this idea off home shopping (the best not-kept secret of crafting).  A company was selling this card-making kit that enabled you to make these cool layered floral images for cards and scrapbooking pages.  Well, I’m not going to mention the company because frankly I can’t remember the name.  But, suffice to say that the kit was…overpriced IMO.  I sat there and thought to myself:

Self, you can make these for FREE.

So, I set out on a path of utter craft discovery.  And now, I will share my findings with you lovely SQs.

Today we are making this card:

I have decided to put all my tutorials on a different blog.  Some of them are very long and I don’t want to clog your dashboard with a single post.  FYI- Clicking the link with redirect you (but it should open in another tab/window).
