DCWV–Bridal Layout!

What’s up people!!  Here today to show you a little DCWV layout using a totally BREATHTAKING stack from DCWV: The Butterfly Garden Stack!

 

If, like me, you are a fan of beautiful patterns, foil, and soft pretty colors – you are about to fall in LOOOVE with Butterfly Garden!

I tool MUCH inspiration from a layout I found in an old Creating Keepsakes magazine.  I needed a little jumpstart to my mojo and that really did the trick! 

I used some pre-made flowers along with some punches to create the beautiful cluster of elements here.   DCWV paper just punches so cleanly and perfect!

DCWV–Birthday Card!

Hello cropstars!  I have a birthday card for you today using one of the new DCWV stacks: The Birthday Wishes Stack!

LOVE this stack because it is so perfect for Birthday cards!!

One of the best things about a DCWV stack are the pages of elements that you can cut out to help you create your projects.  Here, the cake, journaling card and banner are all cut from the 12x12 stack and I’ve made my card front out of a piece of cardstock from the matching 6x6!

DCWV– Solstice Frame!

Hello people!  Here again to show you my off-the-page project for February’s DCWV release!!  Here I decorated a frame using a beautiful stack: The Solstice Stack!

I couldn’t resist cutting all of the gorgeous flowers from this paper and layering it all up!!!

Don’t you just love the saturated colors in this stack!?

I also used a little Blue Moon Bead medallion to add a little shine!

Hampton Art/ Core’dinations Blog hop!!

We are so excited for this week on the Hampton Art blog! We have a fantastic five days planned with our paper pals over at Core’dinations! Stampers LOVE good paper and Core’dinations has a wide array of size, texture, and colors in their product line! Take some time to visit each blog today through Friday and see the many projects and effects that you can create through stamping, embossing, and sanding on these great papers with Hampton Art stamps!

We swapped product and it is finally time to see what everyone made!

Since today is officially Mardi Gras I would do a fun and colorful card featuring all the glitter and spirit of the Carnivale!

I used me new favorite tool, the Silhouette Cameo, the cut this fun mask!  With the help of Make The Cut! I was able to take a fun little clip art and make a multi-layer image to cut with my machine! Core’dinations cardstock cut beautifully as you can see!

I embossed the HECK out of the papers and the texture that was created for the background and the purple layer of the mask was to DIE for thanks to the nature of the cardstock.

This new sentiment stamp from Hampton Art was perfect for this card and I love how I totally captured what I was trying to say!

Heartstring Designs February Kit: Sweet Essence (Day 2)

We are here to reveal the second 2013 Housecalls kit by Heartstring Designs called “Sweet Essence”.

 

 

This kit had a little bit of something for everyone.  Yesterday I shared more of the sassy, saturated side of this kit.  But, there is a softer, more romantic side to Sweet Essence that you just have to love. Here is a list of the super SWEET brands included in the kit this month:

And now, some soft and romantic inspiration, from SWEET ESSENCE

I really am coming to love simple designs.  This card was awesomely easy because the part around their faces that seems “framed” is actually a sticker that fits PERFECTLY over the lager image.  Love that easy layering!!!

Toxic Sass is the creator of this beautiful flower embellishment.  It comes to you on a fabric border strip, but I ended up detaching it and using it on this card instead.  The feathers are so fun, right?

Valentines products aren’t just for layouts featuring love and romance.  I used this stunning background paper and a few embellishments to make a page about my friends and I attending a wedding.  I used my Slice to cut a simple title and everything else comes straight from the kit as-is.

The embellishment pack included some super cute insta-frames that really compliment these pictures of my parent’s wedding.  I was able to take older-style photos and give them a more trendy style using these retro frames.  Again, I cut the “always” with my Slice and used some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to add interest to the background – everything else is included in the kit. : )

I had such a blast using all the little (and big!) chipboard pieces that were included in this kit, but my FAVORITE were these two clouds.  I added some notched banners to the bottom and I think they just really make this page pop!  This page came together SUPER fast and it ended up being my favorite. : )

Heartstring Designs February Kit: Sweet Essence (Day 1)

Happy February people! So glad you could join us on this lovely first day of the month of LOOOVE!  We are here to reveal the second 2013 Housecalls kit by Heartstring Designs called “Sweet Essence”.

And now, some inspiration fresh from SWEET ESSENCE

I use some Bronze ink and a Martha Stewart punch with my kit to make this sweet little Valentine.  I love the fun little images in this kit courtesy of the Authentique cardstock and stickers that are included!

This card was SO easy to make – it literally took me about ten minutes.  With the GIANT sheet of stickers it is easy to use a little ink and some pop dots to create a special “I Love You” for a special someone.



The little buttons from 3 Girl Jam are SUPER adorable! The cute little “Love Birds” featured on this card are my favorite!



This is a ‘mini’ valentine made with just a little Simple Stories journaling card.  I think it looks very retro with that Pinque Peacock stick pin. : )



I think this is my favorite card I made with this kit.*  It’s clean, and graphic and the image is a little silly but sexy too.  This would be a good one for the man in your life. ; )

*I also used Spellbinders Circle dies and a Martha Stewart punch.

Last but not least is this tag.  I love taking the cardstock stickers and popping them up with foam tape – it adds wonderful dimension!  I did some real mixed media here with mist, distress stain, an embossing folder and a piece of ribbon from my stash.  You can make this kit fit YOU by using the contents with all your favorite tools!
