Tree Wall Hanging - Jolly Whimsy/Timeless Twine Stacks (DCWV)

Hey, hey!  Britt here to share another hope dec piece I've made using some DCWV stacks!

For the base I used some non-traditional colored paper from the Timeless Texture stack and then I cut images from an ADORABLE page from the Jolly Whimsy stack to use as ornaments!

All the little icons are cut from the Jolly Whimsy stack - cute, right!?  I cut the triangles from larger punched sheets that I punched using a We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punch!  I love using my tools in new ways.

I finished the tree off with some colorful strands of twine and some DCWV bling.

Be Jolly Wall Hanging - DCWV The Christmas & Winter Stack (180)

Hello!  Doing some quick posts today to show you some last-minute Christmas projects I've made for DCWV!

For this project I used some pages from the JAM PACKED Christmas & Winter 180 paper stack!

I took an old cardboard box, some May Arts burlap ribbon (red) and some heavy duty scissors and created this SUPER cute holiday wall hanging!

I upcycled an old Christmas ornament - the French Horn used to be on a wreath that was totally falling apart!  So, I rescued it and made it the anchor for my project.

Housecalls by Scrappin Madge - December Kit (Mistletoe Kisses)

Today I was finally able to borrow a computer (while mine is being magically fixed!) so I could catch up on my DT work before the real holiday rush starts!

Here is a picture of the kit (It is SUPER amazing!!!):

And, here are the projects I created for the hop - though I did not get to participate. :(

With the exception of a few stickers and some card bases - all you see here has been made using the December kit!

Want some more inspiration?  Check out the blog hop that went on last weekend:

The prizes are not stiill up for grabs, but I still think that it's worth taking a look! Consider giving yourself Mistletoe Kisses for Christmas!

Well, hello there people, I know I'm spamming you right now, but I had some catching up to do with all my DT work and, instead of making you wait to get some of my most recent holiday inspiration - I decided to bring it to you now!

For this project, I used this nice, soft Christmas stack, full of delicate images printed in a just off-traditional color scheme.  If pretty and pastel is your choice for the holiday season, The Christmas Made Stack is the one for you. (Also, PJLers - this stack is chalk FULL of cards and tags, perfect for the last four weeks of your album!)

Every year we put together our GIANT Christmas village in the hutch of our dining room.  It takes the creator (either me or my dad) all day to assemble and it's always different year after year.

I used one of my most-loved tools to really make this page special.  The large, scalloped shape I created using one of my We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punches.  I actually punched it twice - the gold showing though is the first layer and the red dots are the second layer.  I love the look  it gave my page!!

Jolly Tree Card (DCWV)

So, I know SOME people aren't that much interested in buying a lot of theme-oriented supplies, which makes creating for a holiday or themed even a little challenging.  Well, with my project for this post, I have come up with a cute, whimsical card for the holidays using a non-holiday DCWV stack.

Are you a lover of green?  Well, then the Emerald Garden Stack is just about the most perfect stack for you! Take a look:

I don't use a lot of green, but when I saw this stack I KNEW I could incorporate a few of these patterns into a holiday project.

These trees, the sentiment, and the print-n-cut chalkboard label can all be found in the Silhouette store. Originally I was only going to use paper on this card, but it needed something else, so I used some of the AMAZING DCWV bling to decorate the trees - and I love it!

Counting Down to Christmas Calendar (DCWV)

Hey there lovelies!  It's been a little while since I brought you some inspiration, but get ready, because I have some AWESOME holiday projects coming to you , starting NOW!

So, without any further ado, let's get started!

The holiday release from DCWV is full of trendy patterns and ideas, but there's still plenty to be had for the lover of traditional, holiday flair!  For today's project I have pulled out the stack from this year's release that, I think, melds the traditional with the trendy perfectly.

This stack is full of fun, traditional Christmas iconography, that is laid out in a modern style.  There are journaling cards (perfect for PJL enthusiasts!), cut-out pages, and borders along with the lush patterned papers.

Funny story: LAST year I asked my dad to build me a wooden Christmas count-down calendar (cause he's so good as building stuff!) so, number one - our family finally has one, and two - I have a REALLY cool DT project.  Well, the season got busy and even though he had best intentions, he didn't end up finishing until it was past the holiday season last year.  He wasn't very happy, but it had to be put on the back burner.  Fast forward to this November and BAM - I had a perfect base for a fantastic holiday project!

I purchased a little weighted tree and decorated it with some paper garland and a bunch of Blue Moon Beads.  Then, I lighted my tree with REAL mini lights (it's a little too bright to see , but they are lit!).  I saw the little lights and stockings on the cut-out sheet and knew I needed to create a mantle for them to hang from.

Don't you love the way that Dec. 25th journaling card that I used to extend the fireplace?  It did double duty as the last number of the countdown!

I used some really cute Silhouette files with my DCWV Christmas Memories paper (the Cameo LOVES my DCWV paper!) to make my fireplace and little gift boxes to put under my tree.

These numbers are a cut-apart page from the stack and they are just ready and waiting to become a Christmas countdown, just like this one!

(You have to add the Godiva chocolate treat for each day - that is a finishing touch that cannot be over looked!)

-------------------------------------------------------------
I'm excited to show you what I came up with!

I love it when non-traditional and traditional things are mixed together. The Jolly Whimsy Stack is the perfect example of that!  There is traditional red and shiny gold paired with trendy, fun pink and aqua.  The icons are just off-traditional and drawn in a cute, cartoon style.

I got to work with the Wave Album by Clearsnap and I love this shape!  This bubbly shape was just right for these papers!  I wanted to keep some of the album clear, so I made this porthole page, which allows you to see a SNEAK peek of the pages before and after it.  VERY easy to make with two piece of paper and a circle cutter. :)

This stack came with TONS of cut-out embellishments!  It is NO secret that I love these cut-out pages and the ones in this stack are stellar.  I was an especially big fan of the pages of large numbers and letters.  I used the candy striped letters to show the year in a big, bold statement.

I Used some dies and punches to add a little dimension to the next pages.  A little pinwheel die makes a darling focal and I used some DCWV glitter paper and a stocking punch to complete this page.

I wanted to show a little more of the clear acrylic on this page and I love the way it looks when a portion of the page  is left uncovered, so that's what I did here.  You can see the next page showing through in the close up above.

I plan on using this book for the pictures of this coming Christmas Eve.  I'm not much of a journaler, but I did mount a journaling card on the back of the book so I can include a thought or two.

Feeling inspired?

Oh Snap Birthday Card - DCWV "The Chalk Art Stack"

Good day to you! I'm making up for some lost time by spamming you with some of my latest and greatest projects.

I'm IN LOVE with this new Chalk Art Stack from DCWV.  It is a trendy, doodle-filled masterpiece and, even better, it is actually printed on DCWV's chalk paper, so you can use real chalk on your projects!

The colors in this stack are so fun and vibrant and there are lots of trendy icons like cameras, insta-frames and curly banners.

I found that white ink looks amazing on this paper, so that's what I used to make my card.

Doesn't that white ink look AMAZING!!?

Mile High Apple Pie Layout -DCWV

Hello!!I know I've been gone for a long time but I've had some bad luck with computers lately and that put me JUST a little bit behind.  But I'm making do right now and I hope to be completely back up and running with everything soon.

BUT, I have been crafting my little behind off!  Today I want to share a layout I made featuring a new fall stack from DCWV called Spiced Cider.

There is a restaurant here where I live called The Blue Owl that is famous for their pies.  Last year at thanksgiving we had one of their most delicious pies: the Mile High Apple Pie. Sounds awesome, right?  Wait till you see it!

I loooove the cut-out ephemera from this stack!  The patterns on this stack are so pretty and many have glitter treatments and, though I'm not always a big fan of the photo-real papers, this stack DOES have some really nice ones.
