Top Tip: Mini Pop Dots Made EASY.

Okay, well, since I missed the deadline for last week’s Top Tip by MINUTES – I’ll just have to post my idea for last week’s tip for THIS week!

Ok, have you ever gotten any of those TINY pop dots? At first you think, “GREAT! I can pop dot even SMALL things with these!”

Then reality hits and you realize that getting those dots out of that sheet is a lesson in frustration. Well….no more. :)

I have devised a way of extracting those tiny dots and –gasp- getting them on your project with relative ease.

Early Christmas Giveaway!

There is an awesome giveaway going on over at Craft Gossip where you can win an early Christmas gift of ANYTHING YOU WANT (under $150 plus up to $20 shipping)!!!!

So, all you have to do is post about what you want.

Well, I know, as much crafting as I do you might assume I have one of these already but you would be WRONG. I want a Slice Cordless Die-cut machine! Yeay!

Slice

The bundle featured here is on Overstock and has the embossing tip, writing pens, idea book, and a bunch of cardstock all in one with the machine. It ships for $2.95 everyday.

You also get another entry if you review the Christmas crafts section of the sponsor’s website Craftbits .

After looking at several of the tutorials my personal favorite is the “Birthday Card Candle” . It’s a really quick and fun way to preserve a flat embellishment from a card (especially a handmade one!) on the side of a candle! This tutorial has good directions and the project seems fast with great results.

A few more cool ones that would be really good for kids are:

Felt Tree Ornament

Magnetic Advent Calendar (SO cute!)

Go check them out.

And remember…it’s good to be queen.

Decorative Edge Scissors: So Easy!

So, there is one age-old scrapbooking tool that I simply LOVE – decorative edge scissors!

So, here is my tip for Top Tip Tuesday using one of my fav designs: the small scallop.

I always find that it is hard to cut a straight line with a deco edge scissor, so here is my simple tip to make that a lot easier.

Sneek Peek:

Rainbow Connection Inspiration Card

Hello!  Just popping in to post a card:

P1010958

A2 size card.

Card base: DCWV, Frog stamp and castle background: Tiddly Inks, Cloud stamp: OWH blog, Rainbow: The Crafty Nomad, Sentiment: Rainbow connection quote, Frame: Jillibean Soup stamp, Pearls: Reminisce, Coloring: Prang 16 watercolors & Metallic watercolors

So, in an unusual turn of events, I was not that inspired by the pet challenge at Tiddly Inks (of who’s challenges and digis I love).  So, I looked through my TI stamps trying to find one that spoke to me – and this little frog princess just HOPPED out at me, so I went looking for a sentiment that might inspire a card.  Lo and behold, the first thing that popped up was this Rainbow Connection quote by the most famous frog ever: Kermit.  BOOM, the stars collided and this card was born. :)

Hope you enjoy!

Entered in:

Tiddly Inks: Our Pets

I Did It! Creations: Keep is Simple (it’s pretty much all digis & was quick and simple to complete!)

Oh, Alice!: Crowns

And remember….it’s ok being princess - but why –when you could be queen?

Border Punch Lace (Top Tip)

EDIT: I forgot to link Top Tip! For the great tips go here.

Hellooooo! (it’s been so long since my last post – NOT!)

Finally I am posting my Top Tip entry! I’ve had people ask me about this before and though the idea is not life-changing it’s good to have a definitive method.

I like to hide my longer posts so I don’t spam my followers, but since blogger doesn’t have that function and I don’t feel like messing with my blog’s html – I link it to my Windows Live Space where I have no one to spam. :)

Here’s a preview:
