Craftwork Cards’ Candi

Hello! Happy Halloween!
Today I want to share with you a few projects I made using Craftwork Cards Candi.
If you aren’t familiar with it, the packaging looks something like this:
Craftwork Cards - Candi - Shimmer Paper Dots - Dotty Vintage Berries Gold
I ordered some of these from sb.com a while back and have been LOVING them – then I realized my LSS had started carrying them.  Now I’m totally hooked!  I made some mod Christmas ornaments:
ModOrnaments1
If you find yourself wanting to use brads but you always end up cutting the back off and sticking it on with a pop dot (like I ALWAYS do) you will LOVE Candi. : )
ModOrnaments
They are basically the head of a brad made from paper. Lightweight, durable, and super easy to use.  GENIUS!!!
Here I used them to decorate a gingerbread house on my tag:
XmasTag
Craftworks also makes a pop dot called Candi Fix, that is the PERFECT size to stick these beauties!

Craftwork Cards is a company based in the UK, but they are bringing their products to the USA and they are having a DT call.  It ends tonight!!!
So, wish me luck, cropstars! It would be pretty awesome to bring you more cards, layouts, and off-the-page projects using Craftwork Cards’ products.
Thanks for stopping by and remember, it’s so GOOD to be queen.

Product Swap with DCWV and Scor-pal!!!

Hello people! I have a pretty sa-WEET project to share with you today! I used my SUPER awesome scor-pal and the Autumn Melody Stack from DCWV to make this:

WallHangFinal

It is (obviously) a super LOOOONG wall hanging.  I used two dies to create the square panels.

closeup

Then I cut the letters and their shadows on the Cricut.  I used scor-tape to layer the letters.

closeup4

I layered attached the letters to the panels with foam tape.  Then I created all of the flourettes using my scor-pal and the Autumn Melody embellishment flip pack.

closeup3

I strung all the panels onto jute ribbon from May Arts and tied the ends to secure.

“Fabulous” Neon Chic Gift Box–DCWV

Good morning my lovely cropstars!  I have an off-the-page project to share with you today featuring a stack I am giving LOTS of love to lately – The Neon Chic Stack.

I used an up-cycled box that housed single servings of hummus. (I love up-cycling projects!)

Neon Chic Box

First I covered the box with black cardstock, then I cut the snazzy pink zebra print for all the sides.

Neon Chic Box2

There was a peek-a-boo hole in the top already, so I evened it out, added some acetate with a sentiment stamped on it and attached the splatter paper to secure the acetate.  I embellished the top with ribbon and buttons.

Neon Chic Box3

I love all the dimension the top has!

Neon Chic Box4

Lastly, I created a bow from the splatter paper, added a button and “wrapped” it in a strip of washi tape.

Neon Chic “A Game” Layout–DCWV

Hello people! I have a DCWV layout here for you today. This stack is SO cute for all your totally RAD craft projects and especially teen and boy layouts.

I chose to do a page about one of my best friends from college, Cassie and I.

The story is actually kind of funny. When we were in college we took a finance class and the teacher was ANNOYINGLY hooked on sports analogies.  She told us if we were going to come to class we had to “bring (our) A-game.”  We thought that phrase was hilarious and deserved its’ own t-shirt. This photo is a picture of us, in those t-shirts, showing how we would ‘BRING OUR A-GAME’ if asked to do so on the spot. : )

BringinMyAGame

This paper was perfect for this photo and for our personalities when we are together.  It helped me say a lot about the story and about us with just a glance. We ARE Neon Chic. : )

Forever and Always Gratitude Card–DCWV

Good afternoon people! I am here with you today to share a new project for the recent releases by DCWV.  This stack is just GORGEOUS!

It’s called “The Forever and Always Stack” and it is made up of black and white, a bit of dark grey and holographic silver (this treatment is SO cool!)  I love that it has a modern spin with chevron patterns and bold, clean lines.  Take a look at this card I made using F&A.

Elegant Gratitude2

I fussy cut some of the flowers from one piece of cardstock and layered them over the swirl cardstock.  Then I used a Hampton Art stamp (clock) and embossed it on some grey DCWV cardstock.  I die cut the stamp and the polka-dot with spellbinders, and layered them with dimensional adhesive.  I die cut a piece of grey cardstock with the spellbinders fancy labels, stamped and heat embossed the word “Gratitude” from a Hampton Art Studio G cling set.  It is popped up with dimensional adhesive.  I tied a bow with my crafter’s companion and adhered it under the sentiment.  Lastly, I rounded the upper right and lower left corners.  Finished!!

Here is a second view of the dimension:

Party Time Tuesdays #88–Frightfully Scary Cards

Good morning friends! I am so glad you stopped by today – we have a LOT going on today!!  Above is the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop for Breast Cancer Awareness – please hop along for some opportunity to win some really great prizes and support the cause! (And OBVIOUSLY there will be some inspiration!)

Now, onto our challenge for this week at Party Time Tuesdays!

The Challenge:

Flonz Stamps

The Inspiration:

flonz

----------------------------------------------------------------

This card features a Flonz stamp set (Witch and Sentiment).  Flonz stamps is an online stamp manufacturer from New Zealand that specializes in rubber and acrylic stamps with a vintage or retro feel.  I really enjoyed using this set!! The paper I used is MME “Haunted” and the ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon Glitter satin is Black. I used a sketch from Mojo Monday archives #252.

DESIGNER TIP: To make the stamp really coordinate with this paper I used some scrap from the same paper pad to stamp my witch and sentiment – it made it really look like part of the paper line!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Keep it royal people. : )

Really Reasonable Ribbon Projects!

Just a quick one tonight to share with you the new projects I created for the RRR Design Team application.

I love their ribbon and I was very excited that this DT call came to my attention about a week ago.

So, without further ado… here they are!

RibbonParty

This is made using the Outlines Birthday stamp set (Hampton Art) and Really Reasonable Ribbon Twill Assortment.  I have a special hole punch that is made for ribbon and used it to attach the twill ribbon which created the layers of the birthday cake. The twill gives the cake a unique dimension and a textured feel.

-------------------------------------------------------

FallTag

This tag combines the DCWV Autumn Melody collection with the Really Reasonable Ribbon Autumn Diamond Satin assortment.  I created the tag and mat piece from cardstock.  I tied three bows from the Diamond satin and attached them to the mat piece, then adhered the piece to the tag.  I used dimensional embellishments and a beautiful bow to finish.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I had so much fun coming up with projects for the application! Cross your fingers and wish me luck!

Keep it royal people!
